Dua Lipa is an English artist/singer from London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model and released her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album reached the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles, among them Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at number 6 within the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act. Her album has been certified as platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is the reason she is of Bosnian origin. Also, it is possible to locate her ancestral ancestors from the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's grand-fathers were both history professors. She has two siblings, Rina and Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by her father who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for The Kosovan band Oda. At home, her dad would play original compositions, along with songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was just five years old. Records a contract in 2014. In August of 2015, her debut single New Love came out.
